Best Natural, Non-toxic Beauty Brand Discoveries of 2017

I want to start off by saying I know I'm late on posting this! It's now two weeks into 2018 and I'm finally getting around to posting a "best of 2017" post. I know, I know. I'm still scrambling to get caught up with my ever growing to-do list post holiday season. Better late than never, right?

This post is a spin on the classic "favorite products" most influencers post monthly / seasonally / yearly. Since my blog isn't even a year old yet I haven't quite tried out enough products to claim that I have favorites in every or even most categories. Despite this, I still wanted to highlight some brands that I discovered and fell in love with in 2017. Let's get started!

Brands (in no particular order):

↠ Luminance Skincare

↠ Bite Beauty

↠ Beauty in the Raw

↠ Rooted Earth Farm

↠ Sunday Riley

↠ Province Apothecary

↠ Lily Lolo

↠ Zuzu Luxe

↠ Nature's Gate

↠ Stinkbug Naturals

Luminance Skincare

First off, possibly the most life changing brand discovery for me in 2017 was Luminance Skincare. For a full review of eight of their products, go check out my post from September. I've been using their Delicate Facial Cleanser and Rosewater Toner nonstop for months. I love this stuff so much I bought it for my mom as a Christmas gift. You may be surprised to know that I've also been using their Hydration moisturizer daily as well. I previously said this moisturizer was a little too heavy for me but if you apply it while your face is still damp from the toner it sinks in beautifully. I've especially been loving it during these cold, dry winter months. If you haven't tried out Luminance yet, I don't know what you're waiting for! Go order their sample kit! It's free, you just have to pay for shipping. Honestly, I can't recommend them enough!

Bite Beauty

In 2017 I also discovered Bite Beauty. I've only tried out their Agave lip treatments (full review here) but I love what I've tried so far! Out of the three treatments I would definitely repurchase the mask and scrub. They're soooooo good! I recently picked up one of their High Pigment Pencils and like it so far. I also scored at Marshall's yesterday and found one of their Lush Lip Tints and Lush Fruit Lip Glosses. Expect a Bite Beauty lip product review in the future!

Beauty in the Raw

I am forever grateful that Beauty in the Raw reached out to me to see if I would like to sample their Raw Manuka Honey Cleanser that launched in October (full review here). This is such a good cleanser and competes with Luminance for the best facial cleanser I've tried. It is so luxurious and effective, great for all skin types, and has only four ingredients! Keep an eye out for more launches by this brand coming soon! I can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeves.

Rooted Earth Farm

What a wonderful brand! Sara is absolutely amazing and so incredibly sweet. You may recall last summer I tried out her Eyebrow Growth Treatment (full review here) and immediately fell in love. I currently have eleven of her products on my to-buy list on Etsy for later this month so expect to see a haul / review later this year! You can't beat the quality and price of her products. So excited to try out more!

Sunday Riley

I believe I actually discovered Sunday Riley in 2016 but seeing as my blog wasn't around then I still wanted to include them in this post. Sunday Riley isn't the most natural brand but I still find myself coming back to the Luna Sleeping Night Oil (full review here). Blue Tansy has done miracles for my skin. I don't know how many more products I'll try from this brand since some of them have questionable ingredients but they're worth mentioning since Luna has consistently been part of my night time routine for over a year now.

Province Apothecary

A few months ago I decided to take advantage of one of Credo Beauty's sales. I had run out of my Rooted Earth Eyebrow Growth Treatment and wanted to give something else a try so I ordered Province Apothecary's Full Brow Serum. I am still testing this product out but can say that I have definitely noticed a difference in the fullness of my brows (full review coming soon with before and after photos). They have a beautiful line of skincare that I can't wait to get my hands on. Also, can we talk about how lovely their packaging is!?

Lily Lolo

I have been searching for a looooooonnnggg time for the perfect fluffy crease brush. I finally found it: Lily Lolo's Eye Blending Brush. As you can probably tell, I'm big on skin care and haven't delved too much into the natural makeup world yet (still getting through some of my less-than-natural makeup items). If the price and quality of this brush are any indication of the rest of what Lily Lolo has to offer I will definitely be exploring more of their cosmetic line.

Zuzu Luxe

Zuzu Luxe is another natural cosmetic line that I discovered recently and am so happy I did! I love doing a winged liner or just adding a little definition to the outer corner of my eyes with liquid liner. Since this is something that is applied so close to your eyes, it's really important to use something non-toxic! I've been using their Liquid Eyeliner in the color Raven over the past month or so and am in love. It's super rich in pigment, long-lasting, and non-toxic. I'll be posting a more in depth review in the future and am looking forward to trying more of their products.

Nature's Gate

You may know that I'm obsessed with the Nature's Gate Anise Toothpaste (full review here). I still order this stuff from Amazon in the value pack size because nothing beats it. I've also tried their Calming line of Shampoo and Conditioner (full review here) and enjoyed that as well. If you're looking for an affordable brand for hair care or toothpaste, give them a try!

Stinkbug Naturals

If you saw my deodorant review from November you may recall seeing Stinkbug Naturals (full review here). Even though my underarms seemed to be a bit irritated by the baking soda, this oddly seemed to subside a little after continued use. Maybe it's because the weather is colder and I'm sweating less, who knows, but I have really been enjoying this stuff!

What have you been loving recently? Have you discovered any natural brands over the past year that you can't get enough of? If so, please share!
